Are you a flexi? You can find all the information you need below.

Are you a flexi-jobber?

A flexi-job allows employees who work at least 4/5 for another employer or are fully retired to earn extra income in a flexible way. Thanks to the favorable tax regime, you do not pay any taxes or social security contributions on your flexi-wage, which means you have more net income. Flexi-jobs are available in various sectors, such as hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

How does a flexi-job work?

A flexi-job offers employees who work at least 4/5 for another employer or are fully retired the opportunity to earn extra income on a flexible basis. You can work in various sectors such as hospitality, retail, or healthcare, and enjoy various benefits.

To start a flexi-job, you must sign a flexi-contract with your employer. This can be for a fixed period or on an on-call basis. You will receive at least the minimum flexi-wage.

As long as you earn less than €18,000 per year from your flexi-job, you do not pay any taxes or social security contributions. This means that your income from a flexi-job is not included in your tax return and has no impact on your tax bracket. Are you fully retired? Then this limit does not apply and you can earn unlimited additional income under these favorable conditions.

In addition, you retain your rights to pension, vacation pay, and unemployment benefits, so you do not suffer any disadvantages from your additional income. A flexi-job is therefore not only financially advantageous, but also socially secure.
